With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and Big Data, their utilization in academic research has become increasingly important, particularly in enhancing research productivity at higher education institutions. However, many lecturers still lack in-depth understanding and technical skills in designing technology-based research roadmaps. This community service activity aims to improve the capacity of lecturers at the University of Muhammadiyah Jember in developing structured, Big Data-based research roadmaps, in order to support their academic careers toward becoming Professors. The method used in this activity is participatory training, which combines theory and practice, with a focus on utilizing bibliometric tools such as VOSviewer and Publish or Perish. Participants were trained to understand the concept of research roadmaps, map research trends using bibliometric analysis, and integrate research outcomes with teaching and community service. This activity produced individual research roadmap documents for each participant, technical training modules, and visual maps of research themes that facilitate the identification of research gaps. The results of this activity show that lecturers, who previously struggled to plan long-term research topics, are now able to more easily identify research themes relevant to their respective fields. Furthermore, there has been a shift towards a more structured and collaborative research culture within the faculty. Thus, this activity has successfully supported the university's efforts to increase the number of Professors and improve the quality of research at the international level.
